Since 1924, technical performance, quality, innovation, reliability and customer-oriented service have been defining factors in our success. STIEBEL ELTRON has a global presence. The annual turnover in 2022 was around 1.1 billion euros. More than 50 per cent of the turnover is generated abroad.
In 1924 in Berlin the company founder Dr Theodor Stiebel started realising his vision of developing and manufacturing products with low energy consumption, greater safety and more comfort. This objective still applies to the company today.
As a family-owned company driven by innovation, Stiebel Eltron pursues a clear strategy in the production and development of products – for environmentally friendly, efficient and convenient building services. With more than 5,500 employees worldwide the company places a consistent focus on its own expertise – from product development to production. The result is efficient and innovative solutions for hot water, heat, ventilation and cooling. With its wide range of products Stiebel Eltron always has the right solution to prepare homes for future requirements today. Frank Stiebel and the Stiebel family foundation (set up by Dr Ulrich Stiebel) each own 50% of the company.
The headquarters of the Stiebel Eltron Group are in Holzminden, which is also home to the largest production facility. Three additional plants in Germany are located in Eschwege, Freudenberg and Hameln. Five international production facilities: Arvika (Sweden), Poprad (Slovakia), Ayutthaya
(Thailand), Tianjin (China) and West Hatfield, Massachusetts (USA) complete the international manufacturing footprint.
Stiebel Eltron started developing systems for using renewable energies already in 1976. Today the company is one of the leading suppliers of heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water and ventilation appliances with heat recovery.
Stiebel Eltron is well equipped for the future with an ambitious research, development and investment programme.
