The heating surface consists of thin corrugated metal plates stacked on top of each other.Channels are formed between the plates and orner ports arearranged so that the two media flow through Internatechannels, always in counter-current flow. Themedia are kept in the unit by a brazed seal/ rubber seal round the edge of the plates. By fully countercurrent the two media, the purpose of heat transfer is achieved.
